Brooke Shields to Reprise Her Role as Charlotte Thornton in S13 of "When Calls the Heart"

Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan, Friends, Chicago on Broadway, president of Actors’ Equity, and NY Times bestselling author) pays another visit to Hope Valley as she reprises her guest starring role in Hallmark Channel’s long-running, hit primetime drama series When Calls the Heart. Shields, who first portrayed Charlotte Thornton in the show’s third season, will appear in a three episodes. The series is entering its 13th season and will return in 2026.

 

Season 12 ended with Elizabeth (Krakow, Blind Date Book Club) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry, A Reason for the Season) heading to Cape Fullerton to stay at her former mother-in-law Charlotte’s (Shields) boarding house. Season 13 promises a heartwarming connection between Charlotte and her grandson, Little Jack, (Hyland Goodrich) as she helps him reconnect with memories of his father.

 

In the episode, when Elizabeth’s (Erin Krakow, Blind Date Book Club) former mother-in-law Charlotte (Shields) arrives in Hope Valley to help her grandson, Little Jack, (Hyland Goodrich) she helps him reconnect with memories of his father.
