ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced the upcoming premiere of CÓMPLICES, its newest comedy series starring Lucía Méndez, Marjorie De Sousa, Maribel Guardia, and Laura Flores. The series will be available exclusively on the platform’s premium tier beginning November 7, with all episodes dropping on premiere day.
The cast also features performances by Ernesto Laguardia, Emmanuel Orenday, Paco De La O, Mónica Del Carmen, Jair Sánchez, among others.
CÓMPLICES follows María José (Lucía Méndez), Paula (Laura Flores), Roberta (Maribel Guardia), and Stacy (Marjorie De Sousa) four women working behind the scenes of a daytime talk show. Their lives take an unexpected turn when the show's producer, a man who has tormented them for years, is found dead. Suddenly, they become suspects in this crime. Though they maintain their innocence, this unforeseen situation becomes the spark that bonds them, inspiring them to rediscover themselves and embrace life with newfound freedom and humor.
The irreverent and empowering comedy doubles as a story of liberation, symbolically burying their past traumas and insecurities as they become true accomplices in their pursuit of happiness, love and fulfillment.
Produced by Animal de Luz and Argos, CÓMPLICES is an original concept by Lucía Méndez and Pedro Antonio Torres, with a script by Alfredo Ballesteros and Fernando Nolla.
