5 has confirmed its refreshed daytime line-up for 2026, unveiling a new talk show fronted by Matt Allwright as it invests further in in the schedule and expands its output with ITN Productions. Storm Huntley is set to welcome new co-host Alexis Conran, Jeremy Vine will continue in his regular slot, while Vanessa will round off the 5 daytime schedule between 2-3pm with a revamped viewer focused show. The updated schedule reinforces 5’s commitment to live content and follows a period of exceptional growth across linear and digital for its daytime output.
Allwright’s show will strengthen 5’s daytime line-up with intelligent debate on the day’s biggest stories, lively audience interaction, and invaluable consumer insight. The programme will air Monday to Thursday from 12:50pm to 2:00pm, with episodes available to stream on 5 following their linear transmission.
Storm Huntley continues to be a driving force in 5’s daytime success. Her late-morning show has built a strong community of loyal viewers, averaging a 4% share, up 14% year-on-year, with ABC1 audiences rising 19%. From 2026 she will be joined by presenter Alexis Conran as co-host of the new Storm and Alexis programme which will air 11:30am – 12:45pm.
Jeremy Vine and Vanessa Feltz both programmes posted strong year-on-year gains in 2025. Jeremy Vine is averaging a 6% share so far this year (Jan–Oct), up 3% year-on-year, with ABC1 audiences rising 4%. The show reaches 500,000 viewers daily and 8.2 million across the period. Meanwhile, since launch in March 2025, Vanessa has reached 4.8 million viewers, with a daily reach of 177,000, further contributing to 5’s strong and consistent daytime presence.
Digital engagement has also soared as combined online audiences grew exponentially in 2025. as Views for all three shows across their social media platforms surged from 93.7m in 2024 to 528m in the year to October 2025.
