David Crosby

David Van Cortlandt Crosby was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter born in Los Angeles, California, U.S. Along with his solo career, he was a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted him twice: once for his work with the Byrds and again for Crosby, Stills & Nash. Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time include five albums to which he contributed, three with the Byrds and two with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. He was politically outspoken and sometimes depicted as symbolic of the counterculture of the 1960s.
