Born in Brooklyn, New York, Talisa Soto was raised in Northampton, Massachusetts,, signing with a modelling agency at age 15, appearing on covers of magazines and featured in advertising campaigns. In 1988 she landed the role of India in Spike of Bensonhurst, followed by the role of Lupe Lamora in License to Kill.
