Dan Reynolds is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the lead vocalist and a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning pop rock band Imagine Dragons, which formed in 2008. He is a recipient of the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award.
Reynolds was born on July 14, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the seventh of nine children. He went to school at Brigham Young University but decided he wanted to pursue music as a career. He started the band Imagine Dragons with Wayne Sermon and the two of them later recruited both Ben McKee and Daniel Platzman.
