Brian Randolph Greene was born in New York City, New York. He is a theoretical physicist, mathematician, string theorist and author. Brian obtained a bachelor's degree in physics from Harvard University and earned his doctorate from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. His best selling books, The Elegant Universe, Icarus at the Edge of Time, The Fabric of the Cosmos and The Hidden Reality, have been variously nominated for literary awards and made into television documentaries. Brian, a vegan, is married with two children.
