Anne Elizabeth Gabrielle Edmonds is one of Australia's most exciting new stand-up, character and banjo-playing comedians.
Having burst onto the comedy scene in 2010 as a national finalist in Raw Comedy, Anne has performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival (where she was nominated for Best Emerging Comedy Talent), the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Seattle International Comedy Competition and the New York Comedy Festival – and was voted Spleen "Comic of the Year" by her fellow comedians in 2014.
In 2015 she starred on Network Ten's Have You Been Paying Attention?, ABC's Dirty Laundry Live and supported US podcast and comedy superstar Marc Maron on his Australian tour.
After a sold-out season and a prestigious peer award win at MICF 2015, Anne took her show, You Know What I'm Like, to London's Soho Theatre in January 2016.
She returned to Australia and toured her new show That's Eddotainment, which was nominated for the Barry Award at the 2016 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. That's Eddotainment was also chosen to be recorded for the ABC2 Next Gen series of comedy specials., to be broadcast late in 2016.
Anne is also a member of the "True Australian Patriots" - as seen on their incendiary Facebook page, on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering and most recently smashing up the Brisbane and Sydney Comedy Festivals, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where it was awarded the Director's Choice Award.
In 2016, Eddo has created, written and starred in her own show for ABC iView, The Edge Of The Bush.
