Born in Quapaw, Oklahoma, Judy Farrell graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in theatre, and worked as a high-school English and drama teacher in Laguna Beach. She debuted on television in 1969 in episodes of Judd for the Defense and Get Smart. It was in 1976 that she first appeared in the recurring role of Nurse Able in the hit series M*A*S*H.
Judy Farrell died of complications from a stroke at the age of 84.
