Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, Melvin Gregg studied marketing at Old Dominion University and also began uploading content to his Instagram account, soon finding himself with 8 million followers. He decided to take a chance on acting and quickly began landing commercial gigs which led to acting gigs. He debuted in a 2011 episode of Whatever, the Series, followed by the role of Alex #30 in the TV miniseries The Beauty Inside.
