Born in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Miles Teller was raised in Florida from the age of twelve where he graduated from Lecanto High School before earning a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In 2007 he was in a near-fatal car crash, which left him with visible scarring on his face. Beginning in 2004 he appeared in a number of shorts, before landing a role in a 2009 episode of The Unusuals.
