Reed LoRenzo Shannon trained at the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory and dreamed of becoming a professional singer, actor, and dancer since he was four years old.
This actor's dreams have come true! Reed was cast in Broadway's First National Tour of "Motown the Musical", in the role of Young Berry Gordy, Young Stevie Wonder, and Young Michael Jackson. At the age of thirteen, Reed originated the touring role, performing in twenty two cities over a sixteen month period (March 2014 – June 2015), and he received extraordinary mentions in reviews across the United States of America!
Reed began his professional career on the main stage at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in the North Carolina Theatre production of "Oliver!" (2012 – Workhouse Boy). Less than two years later, he was cast in the NCT production of "Les Misérables" (2014 – Gavroche)!
He performed roles in NC Theatre Conservatory Master Summer Theatre Arts School's productions of "Crazy For You" (2015 - Custus the Cowboy), "In The Heights" (2013 - Sonny), and "Who's Tommy" (2012 - Youngest Tommy).
