Scott Hastings "Scotty" Beckett was born October 4, 1929. He starred in the Our Gang shorts as George "Spanky" McFarland's best friend and partner in mischief and later co-starred on Rocky Jones, Space Ranger. He suffered a severe beating and overdosed on barbiturates and alcohol.
