Sam Anoaʻi

Born and raised on the Isle of Samoa, Samuel Anoaʻi, better known by his ring name Samu, had his first professional wrestling match at the age of 14, carefully supervised by his father Afa and his uncle Sika. At the age of 17 he went pro, and began appearing in a variety of televised events. In 2014 he 'retired' from wrestling, and in 2018 it was announced that he had stage 4 liver cancer and was waiting for a transplant. In April of 2024 he came out of retirement, teaming with his son Lance to defeat the Full Blooded Italians..
