Aaron Boone is part of New York Yankees and Baseball history. In Game 7 of the ALCS in 2003 he hit a towering walk-off homer to help the Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox and move on to the World Series which they eventually won. Boone's Home Run was dubbed "Curse of the Boonebino" by the New York Daily news because it prolonged the famous Red Sox' Curse of the Bambino for one more year.
