Mel Chude is an African-American actor and model, who hails from Detroit, Michigan. Raised on the east side of Detroit, he received early encouragements in high school, and Mel began his career as a print model.
Mel's academic aspirations and physical attributes would lead him to a college football scholarship and a major in Premed/Biology. Despite the busy schedule of a scholar-athlete, this wasn't enough to satisfy his creative side, so he set his sights on performing, this time around on acting. As a model, he moved to New York City, soon thereafter he began to pursue his childhood love for film, theater, and television.
In a short time, Mel has had a relative success. His acting career began with small roles on various short films, commercials, features and episodic television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Ugly Betty.
