Mary Higgins

Mary Higgins (they/them) is an actor, playwright, and podcaster. They are co-founder of Hotter Project, the queer verbatim theatre company behind Hotter, Fitter and The Last Show Before We Die.As a writer/performer they have toured across the UK and internationally at venues such as Soho Theatre, The Yard Theatre, Traverse and Tanzquarter Vien. They also co-host the podcast Life of Bi: A Slippery History of Bisexuality. Their first stage play, Very Wet, was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2022, the Women's Prize for Playwriting 2023 and performed as part of the inaugural Open Submissions Festival at the Royal Court. No stranger to the screen, they can also be seen in key supporting roles in Traitors (C4) and The English Game(Netflix) opposite Edward Holcroft and Charlotte Hope. Film credits include She Said, Philipa Lowthorpe'sMisbehaviour and Amazon's Cinderella remake starring Camila Cabello and Billy Porter.
