Amber Kemp-Gerstel is an American Art & Crafts Influencer and Television Personality. She grew up with a mother who was an anti-risk taker which led her to pursue her degree in clinical child psychology. After graduating from Duke and Vanderbilt University with a PhD in Family Psychology she began her career at the University of Miami.
Crafting has always been a passion for her and in 2015 she decided to leave her career as a psychologist and start blogging all her projects on her popular DIY site, Damask Love. Her one mission with crafting is to show that everyone has a crafty side.
Damask Love was named a top DIY blog by Better Homes and Gardens as well as Domino Magazine.
Her do-able DIY approach has led her to multiple media appearances. In 2018 she was a finalist on NBC's Making it - a crafting competition hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. She has also appeared on Hallmark's Home and Family, Good Morning America, The Home Shopping Network, Parent Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, and BET to name a few. In 2019 she premiered her own family crafting show Disney Family Sundays on Disney+. She has partnerships with brands such as Joann Fabrics, Cricut, Martha Stuart, Coca-Cola, Publix, Walmart, and Energizer Batteries.
