Vinnie Karetak

Born in Arviat, Nunavut, Vincent "Vinnie" Karetak is a cultural icon, instantly recognized by Inuit young and old. He is widely renowned for his comedic touch in life and art - as actor, writer and producer at Qanurli, a popular comedy show in Inuktitut, now in its 7th season. He is Chairperson of the Qaggavuut Performing Arts Society, which is tasked with delivering Inuit cultural programs in and around Nunavut, providing programs for youth and children and recording elders with their stories, preserving their language and culture.
