Alyssa Chia

Alyssa Chia is a Taiwanese actress, producer, and TV host, born in Taipei, Taiwan. Her grandfather and father were chefs, and during the 1980s, they ran a family restaurant specializing in noodles and dumplings. Alyssa Chia began her career in the entertainment industry by appearing in advertisements as a child, and at 16, she was discovered by a talent scout. Her first acting role was in the 1990 CTS show The Immortal's Finger.

In the early 1990s, the family relocated to Tianjin, and she attended Nankai University to study Eastern Arts. In 1994, she was accepted into the Beijing Film Academy's Performance Department. However, in 1995, she returned to Taipei to care for her father after he was diagnosed with lymphoma.

Alyssa Chia's personal life includes two marriages. In 2005, she married Sun Chih Hao and had a daughter, Wu Tung Mei, the same year. The couple divorced in 2010. In 2015, she married actor Hsiu Chieh Kai. Together, they have two daughters: Pu Pu, born in 2015, and Bo Niu, born in 2017. The couple held their wedding ceremony in 2018. In addition to her entertainment career, Alyssa Chia co-founded a noodle brand, "Chia Yi Shih Jih," with her brother in 2018.
