Born in Aurora, Illinois, Andrea Evans was a beauty pageant contestant and acted in regional theatre before being cast as an extra in the 1978 horror film The Fury. She first appeared on the small screen as Fay Morrison Wheeler in the 1978 mini-series The Awakening Land. It was in 1979 that she became Tina Lord on One Life to Live, returning to the role multiple times over the years. In 1990 she stepped away from the show because of death threats from a stalker who had also broken into the show's studios to attack her. She also made her mark as Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane in Passions, and Tawny Moore in both the The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
Andrea Evans died at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with breast cancer .
