Frederick Banks Du Rietz started his career having won the Hugo Weaving Award for his stage performance of The Tribulations of Abacus Christy. After graduating from school, Fred continued to seek further education and found it at the Academy of Film, Theatre, and Television (AFTT) in Surry Hills. During his time at AFTT, Fred appeared on his first TV role on ABC's Friday on My Mind.
Frederick Starred in the Netflix Original show Secret City: Under the Eagle, of which he was nominated for Best Male New Talent by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA). Later in the year, Frederick starred in the Australian coming of age story Bilched that won three awards at the Chelsea Film Festival. One of which, went to Frederick Du Rietz for Best Supporting Actor.
He was recently cast as a Recurring Guest Star in the new Channel 9's TV show Amazing Grace.
