Tim Ryan

Former Congressman Tim Ryan served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 17th Congressional District from 2002 to 2013 and Ohio's 13th Congressional District from 2013 to 2023, representing portions of Portage and Akron counties. In the 117th Congress, Ryan served on the Appropriations Committee as Chair of the Subcommittee on the Legislative Branch and Chair of the Subcommittees on Defense and Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies. He also served on several caucuses, including co-chairing the Congressional Addiction, Treatment and Recovery Caucus and the Congressional Manufacturing Caucus. Ryan's district included northeastern Ohio, from Youngstown to Akron. He was the Democratic nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Ohio, which he lost to author JD Vance.
