Renate Reinsve

Renate Reinsve is a Norwegian actor who made their film debut in Oslo, August 31st, a film by Joachim Trier. Reinsve has since continued her working relationship with Trier through multiple films, including the Academy Award nominated The Worst Person in the World, the performance earning her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. In 2025 she starred in Trier's Sentimental Value, the film winning the Grand Prix at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. In addition to her work with Trier, Reinsve has starred opposite of Sebastian Stan in the 2024 film A Different Man, as Carolyn Polhemus in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent, in the Norwegian horror-mystery film Handling the Undead, and the Norwegian comedy Welcome to Norway, resulting in her first ever acting nomination at the Amanda Awards in 2016.
