Eli Shankji was born in Aleppo, Syria on June 12th, 1991. He had just started his career in acting when the war started in 2011 which forced him to escape with his family to Lebanon where he lived for 3 years before immigrating to Canada where he became a citizen in 2019.
Shankji is now a working professional actor, acting in short films, plays and in American and Canadian TV shows. His first appearance in the role of Rafi in Blood and Treasure (CBS) was followed by the critically acclaimed television series The Detectives (CBC), and most recently he is seen in a recurring role on Transplant (CTV / NBC).
Eli has also produced, written and directed numerous short films and music videos.
He is also a singer, songwriter and a composer and plays piano, guitar and trumpet. He's a competitive kick boxer, basketball and tennis player.
