Lori Singer

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Lori Singer was a musical prodigy, making her debut as a cellist at thirteen, and subsequently being accepted to Juilliard, where she became the institution's youngest graduate. She made her acting debut as Julie Miller in the 1982 series Fame, and in 1984 her leading role as Ariel in Footloose propelled her to stardom.
