Minami Tanaka

Tanaka Minami is a Japanese announcer and actress born in New York City, US, and was given the middle name of Amy. Soon after her birth, her family moved to Japan but after her first year in elementary school, she lived in London and San Francisco before returning to Japan for junior high school. She attended Aoyama Gakuin University Department of English Literature, where she also played tennis. She also worked as a model for fashion magazines and posters. In 2007, she participated in the "Miss Aoyama Contest 2007" and became Semi-Miss. In 2009, she joined TBS television soon after she graduated. Since 2014, she has retired from TBS and worked as a freelance announcer.
