Jenny Anne Durkan is a Democratic politician. In 2017 she was elected the 56th mayor of Seattle, becoming the city's first female mayor since the 1920s and the city's second openly LGBT mayor. Previously Durkan was a prosecutor, serving as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington from October 2009 to September 2014.
