Ennio Morricone

Born in Rome, Ennio Morricone joined the Saint Cecilia Conservatory at age 12, studying harmony, composition and band arrangement, among others. Upon graduation he first wrote film scores as a ghost writer for other composers. His ability to write music for almost any genre made him one of the greatest film composers of all time, with credits of over five hundred movies and songs.

Ennio Morricone died aged 91 from complications after a fall.
