Jelena Veljaca is a well-known Croatian actress, screenwriter and columnist. She gained popularity after her roles in telenovelas Villa Maria (2004) and Ljubav u zaledju (2005). Over the years, Veljaca realized that her true love was actually writing, so she replaced acting with screenwriting and is the author of many Croatian series. She is a regular columnist for Croatian daily newspaper "Jutarni list", where she comments on current social events.
