Johnny B. Truant is the bestselling author of the Fat Vampire books, adapted by NBC/Universal in 2022 as the Syfy series Reginald the Vampire starring Spider-Man's Jacob Batalon. Truant's other books include Pretty Killer, Pattern Black, Invasion, The Beam, Dead City, and over 100 other titles across many genres.
In addition to writing novels, Truant also writes nonfiction (The Story Solution, Write Publish Repeat) and co-founded Sterling & Stone - an IP powerhouse that he writes for as Flagship Author today. He spends his days creating cool stuff with partners Sean Platt and David W. Wright, as well as more than a dozen gifted storytellers. The only "real work" he does is the trio's weekly Alternate Ending podcast... which (let's be honest) isn't actually real work at all.
Originally from Ohio, Truant and his family now live in Austin, Texas, where he's finally surrounded by creative types as weird as he is.
