Max Foster is a CNN anchor and correspondent based in London. He is the host of CNN Newsroom with Max Foster, which airs on CNN International and CNN US weekdays at 4 am ET (9 am London). He also reports on stories out of Europe for CNN US and cnn.com.
Since joining the network in 2005, Foster has played a pivotal role in its coverage of major world events, often anchoring live from the scene. He has interviewed everyone from Donald Trump to Steve Jobs and Dolly Parton.
As CNN's Royal Correspondent, Foster leads commentary during British state and royal events and has interviewed more senior royals than any of his UK counterparts, including the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, and The Duke & Duchess of Sussex. He has traveled extensively across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas on royal tours and co-writes the weekly "CNN Royal News" newsletter and digital column, which is the market-leader.
Foster is also known for his viral TikToks and has been named in AdWeek's Creative 100 and TikTok's Best 100 Creators.
Foster graduated from Cardiff University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration before completing a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism at Highbury College, Portsmouth. He had a 10-year career at the BBC before joining CNN, most notably as a business reporter for the BBC World Service and BBC Breakfast.
Foster is half-Swedish and lives in Hampshire, England, with his family.
