David Roger Johansen, sometimes spelled David Jo Hansen, is an American singer, songwriter and actor born New York City, U.S. He is best known as the lead singer for the proto-punk band the New York Dolls. He is also for his work under the pseudonym Buster Poindexter and for playing the Ghost of Christmas Past in Scrooged.
