Alex Shenkman is a BMI Award-winning film composer and music producer who scores NBC's hit drama New Amsterdam, alongside Craig Wedren, and FOX's newest cooking competition show Next Level Chef.
Shenkman's scores can be heard across the country having recently composed for Tobit Raphael Capati's Sextpert Advice, an official selection for Outfest 2020. His other feature film work includes ION Television's Country Christmas Album, Gravitas Ventures's drama-thriller Runner, and Comedy Dynamic's comedian-studded Poop Talk.
In addition to scoring, Shenkman is also an accomplished songwriter and producer, with work featured in shows, main title themes, promotional campaigns, and trailers for ABC, NBC, FOX, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV+, MTV, Disney, UFC, Freeform, and more.
Shenkman's latest artist project, NOCTURN, launched in February of 2021. Billboard Magazine called his re-imagining of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love", released with artist Holy Wars, an "eerily pounding and defiant arrangement".
In 2018, Shenkman had the privilege to work alongside opera singer Radmila Lolly, producing songs for her newest album, Wonderland. The album had its worldwide premiere on April 20th, 2018 at Carnegie Hall.
Shenkman resides in Los Angeles.
