Guillermo del Bosque was born in 1961 in Mexico. He was a television producer and director, known for La jaula (2003–2004), 100 mexicanos dijieron (2009) and Nosotros los guapos (2016–2017). He was married to Costa Rican actress Vica Andrade. Del Bosque was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2017, and underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant to treat the illness. After an eight-year battle with cancer, he died on April 7, 2025 in Mexico.
