Diana Yates

Diana Yates is a Scottish-based gardener, writer, maker and television presenter, best known for appearing on the BBC Scotland gardening programme Beechgrove Garden. After spending ten years living and working in South Africa, Yates returned to the United Kingdom with her family in 2017 and settled at Greenfields, an 18th-century former manse in West Linton in the Scottish Borders, where she developed a two-acre garden focused on fruit, vegetables, flowers, seasonal cooking and home-grown decoration. She first appeared on Beechgrove Garden in 2021 as a "Beechgrower" contributor from her own garden, later returning as a guest presenter and joining the presenter line-up in 2023. Her first book, Growing at Greenfields: A Seasonal Guide to Growing, Eating and Creating from a Beautiful Scottish Garden, was published in 2023 by Pavilion/HarperCollins.
