Alexei Toliopoulos is a writer, filmmaker, comedian and podcaster. Technically, he is also an internationally acclaimed ‘investigative documentarian' with the ABC podcast mystery/comedy series Finding Drago and its sequel, Finding Desperado. He is best known in the comedy scene for hosting the much-loved Sydney comedy room Green Lights.
As a filmmaker, he was a project co-lead on Chen PM 3010, a sci-fi web series with Aaron Chen, which received development funding from Screen Australia. Alexei also worked as a director on Season 1 of The Formal Series which has 104k fans/1.1m likes on TikTok.
Alexei has written and produced for Saturday Night Rove and Show Me The Movie on Network Ten, appeared as a regular presenter and film critic for ABC's The Mix, and performed as several crazy sketch characters in The Feed's Insight Auditions series on SBS. He also appeared on the ABC's Covid-inspired comedy At Home Alone Together. Most recently, he appeared as a regular panellist on Question Everything with Wil Anderson & Jan Fran.
In the podcast world co-hosts Lived It alongside Gen Fricker. He is also the co-host of the popular film/comedy podcast Total Reboot with Cameron James – together, they are developing a documentary/comedy video series of Finding.
