Laurenţiu Bănescu

Laurenţiu Bănescu is a Romanian film, television and theatre actor, born on 7 August 1982 in Bucharest, Romania. He started doing theatre in post-communist Romania at the age of 16, then got his first roles in cinema in 2007. He studied Media and Communication and has a master's degree in Playwriting. Director Nae Caranfil had seen him on stage before casting him in two of his features, and finally offered him the leading role in 6,9 on the Richter Scale (2016). Very much appreciated for his role in Umbre (HBO Europe), he works again with director Bogdan Mirica for Boss (2023), and also appears in HBO's international production Spy/Master (2023).
