Tori Finlayson is a North American Egyptologist and archaeologist. She received her BA from The University of British Columbia in History and Archaeology of Classical, Greece, Rome and the Near East, and her MA in Egyptology from Leiden University. She has worked on archaeological excavations in Egypt, Sudan, and Jordan, including the Temple of Tausret and the Mut Precinct at Karnak. She has held research positions at the University of Arizona and in the office of Dr. Zahi Hawass. Currently, she is a PhD Candidate of Egyptology at Johns Hopkins University and the Director of the Middle Kingdom Royal Women Project, where she oversees the research within the tomb of Queen Neferu.
