Since 2011, Andrew has handled dozens of appeals, ranging from misdemeanor fleeing from police all the way to malice murder. He has argued many cases in front of the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia, securing new trials, reduced sentences, and four entries on the National Registry of Exonerations.
Andrew has taught other lawyers how to argue, write, and defend their clients since his second year of practice, focusing on brevity, simplicity, and thorough historical analysis to find the best argument for each case. He has written pieces in Slate, Arc Digital, and the Daily Report explaining complicated legal concepts for lay audiences, and has been featured in the AJC's Breakdown Podcast to talk about the intersection of state and federal law.
In addition to an exceptional criminal defense practice, Andrew has become widely-recognized as an authority in the area of 1st Amendment litigation, particularly defamation and Anti-SLAPP litigation. Andrew frequently assists other segments of the Firm in matters ranging from workers' compensation claims to wrongful death cases.
