Claire Galofaro

Claire Galofaro is a national writer for the Associated Press, based in Louisville, Kentucky. She writes extensively about poverty, politics and rural America. She was awarded the Livingston Award for Young Journalists for the series Surviving Appalachia, which chronicled the economic and social struggles in this community of the brink of collapse.
