Ranferi Salguero is an actor and award winning filmmaker based in San Antonio, Texas. He started his career at the age of 9 in his native Guatemala, winning multiple literature awards throughout his youth. As an actor, one of his most recent works is as the lead in the film The Things I Carry in which he plays Luis, an immigrant lost and facing death in the desert of West Texas. His short film Roses and Graves won the jury prize at the 2007 San Antonio Local Film Festival and his short screenplay Crossing was a semifinalist at the 2012 American Gem Literary Contest.
