Mark Rankin

Mark Rankin is a Canadian actor, producer, director, writer, and musician. He has co-written/directed numerous award-winning shorts films, music videos and a web series. Mark's debut feature film is the documentary, James 'Super Chikan' Johnson - A Life in Blues, which celebrates one of Mississippi's most treasured sons but also examines how the culture and setting of the Delta have influenced his musical journey and his quest to preserve the roots of the Blues.

Mark is also the co-founder and guitarist of the popular Vancouver blues/rock band, The Mojo Stars.

Mark was born in Zimbabwe and as a child lived in Nigeria, Oman and Scotland, where his parents are from. Mark also lived in Japan as an adult.
