Raj Bhavsar

Raj Bhavsar is an American Olympic medalist in gymnastics turned actor, filmmaker and photographer based in Los Angeles. He was born in Houston, Texas.

Raj has appeared in TV shows, films, and commercials, showcasing a dynamic physicality and intensity in his acting. Drawing from his athletic background, Raj delivers performances with precision and depth, blending disciplined movement with a natural, grounded emotional presence—making him ideal for roles that demand both physicality and nuance.

As a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team, Raj earned a bronze medal, a triumph that came after being named an alternate to the 2004 team and narrowly missing the Athens Games. His perseverance paid off in Beijing, where the underdog team's success became one of the sentimental highlights of the Olympics. Raj's iconic move, "The Bhavsar", is an original parallel bars release skill now performed by gymnasts worldwide.

After achieving his goals as an Olympic gymnast, in 2010 Raj started working for Cirque du Soleil as an artist for their performance show Iris which debuted in July 2011.

Raj continues to give back to the sport by mentoring and guiding the next generation of U.S. gymnasts, all while pursuing his passion for the arts as an actor, filmmaker and photographer.
