Max Pam is a Dutch freelance journalist, chess player, columnist, writer, and program maker. He has worked for publications including Vrij Nederland, HP/De Tijd, NRC Handelsblad, Trouw, de Volkskrant, and Het Parool. He is the son of Leonard Albert Pam, an editor at Het Parool from 1945 to 1970.
