Sophie Roper was the series producer of Emmerdale from July 2024 to March 2025 alongside Laura Shaw. She was Emmerdale's story producer a role she held from July 2016 until her role as producer in June 2024, a role which she took over from Kate Brooks. Between October 2020 and March 2021, Roper became co-producer of Emmerdale alongside Laura Shaw to cover Kate Brooks's parental leave. Roper previously worked as a Storyliner on Coronation Street and as a Location Manager for ITV Studios.
