Born in Hampshire, England, Tamsin Egerton completed her education at Ditcham Park School, did some modeling and joined a local theatre group in England. She landed her first acting job at age 13 in the role of Young Morgaine in the 2001 TV mini-series The Mists of Avalon, and in 2005 the leading role of Holly Goodfellow in the film Keeping Mum.
