Born in Sumner, Washington, Wayne Northrop graduated from the University of Washington before turning to a career in the entertainment industry. His earliest credit is a small role in a 1977 episode of Eight Is Enough, and in 1981 he got his big break with the recurring role of Michael Culhane in Dynasty.
