Joseph "Joe" McFadden was born in Glasgow,Scotland, is a Scottish actor, best known for his roles inTake the High Road,Heartbeat and Holby City. He also does voice over work for Bauer Mediaon their Scottish stations.
McFadden was educated at Holyrood R.C. Secondary School in Glasgow
McFadden developed his career in the theatre, with roles inChitty Chitty Bang Bang, Rent and Rainbow Kiss. He then took roles in television series Sex, Chips & Rock n' Roll , The Crow Road,Take the High Road, He came to national attention playing PC "Joe Mason" in Heartbeat for two series.
In 2009, he mixed theatre work with the National Theatre of Scotland and touring in the Alan Ayckbourn play Haunting Julia, with starring in such films as The Trouble with Men and Women, Dad Savage and Small Faces.
Since 2014, he has had the role as "Raffaello "Raf" di Lucca" in the BBCOne, medical drama Holby City.
In August 2017,Joe McFadden was announced as a participant in the 15th series of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
