Benicio del Toro is a Puerto Rican‑born American actor and producer celebrated for his intense, often morally ambiguous performances. He first gained widespread notice for his role as the enigmatic assassin Frank Sheppard in The Usual Suspects. He later earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Javier Vargas in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic.
